Dear Community Members,

Please join me in congratulating Yakub who plays cricket in the Central Texas Cricket League (CTCL) comprising of about 16 teams and close to 300 players. There are two other big leagues in Texas - Dallas and Houston (and way bigger than the CTCL). Every year, there are 3 to 4 games being played between the selected 11s from each league against each other - and this is called the Inter City Game.

Yakub played his first game Intercity game today against Houston in Houston and became the Man of the Match for scoring 76 runs. Needless to say, Austin won! This is a great achievement for any player playing against such good opposition - and given this is his first game at this level makes it so much more special.

For all the other exciting and enthusiastic cricket players I have met today in the RRCC ground - please keep up the good work. You can also make your mark!
