The Community Health Centers (CHC) help ensure access to primary medical care for those who have difficulty obtaining services due to economic or and dental barriers. Patients served include the uninsured and those enrolled in geographic Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and the Travis County Healthcare District Medical Assistance Program (MAP).

The Medical Assistance Program (MAP) provides access to healthcare through networks of established providers for those Travis County residents who meet eligibility criteria. MAP is funded by the Travis County Hospital District and administered by the City of Austin Community Care Services Department. The Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) is designed for families who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, yet cannot afford to buy private insurance for their children. CHIP coverage provides eligible children with coverage for a full range of health services including regular checkups, immunizations. prescription durgs, lab tests, X-rays, hospital visits and more.
