BAGA Blood Drive to Commemorate Mohan Ekushe

BAGA BOD is pleased to announce that we have organized a blood donation drive with The Blood Center of Central Texas (http://www.bloodand tissue.org/) to commemorate Mohan Ekushe. The Blood Center of Central Texas is the exclusive provider and guardian of the community blood supply for more than 30 medical facilities in a ten-county service area of central Texas .

Pohela Boishak 1417 Update

With the turn of a new year, BAGA BOD would also like to start preparation for our Pohela Boishakh celebrations. We are thankful to the City Council of Austin for dedicating Waterloo Park for the third Saturday of April for BAGA's Bengali New Year Festival.

This year our Pohela Boishakh 1417 festivities will take place on Saturday April 17, 2010 at Waterloo Park. Please mark your calendars.We will announce the date for our Pohela Boishakh Kick-Off meeting soon. Like previous years we are looking forward to your active participation in the organization of this event. Please send us your ideas and suggestions for this event. We, along with you, would like to make this event a grand success!!
